Rose gold and Palladium Mokume-Gane Wedding Band
This amazingly cool ring is made using a technique called mokume-gane (pronounced moh-kuh-may gah-nay). Designed to oxidize and etch while being worn, every mokume-gane ring creates it’s own unique patina over time.
Mokume-gane is a Japanese metalworking technique that involves fusing layers of different metals together using heat and pressure to create a mixed-metal laminate with a patterned appearance. The term translates to "wood eye" or "wood grain metal".
See this ring in our studio made in 14k rose gold and palladium with sterling silver. This ring is 6mm width, finger size 9.5.
